Chiliz (CHZ) (launched June 2019) is an Ethereum and Binance Blockchain-based ERC-20 and BEP-2 utility cryptocurrency token produced by Chiliz. Chiliz (CHZ) is a cryptocurrency token that sports fans can use to purchase Fan Tokens and serves as the native utility token for Socios.com’s ecosystem. Chiliz is characterised as the world’s premier blockchain FinTech supplier for sports and entertainment.

Socios.com’s Chiliz platform allows sports and esports fans to crowd-manage their favourite teams, games, leagues, and events. In 2018, Chiliz raised slightly over $66 million in a private placement.
Chiliz’s consumer-facing product is Socios.com, which allows fans to purchase tokenized voting rights in their favourite teams. Many of the world’s football clubs and esports teams are among the app’s partners, including FC Barcelona, Juventus F.C., Paris Saint-Germain F.C., Atlético Madrid, A.S. Roma, Galatasaray S.K.& OG. Socios.com enables sports organisations to use Fan Token Offerings to issue digital assets known as Fan Tokens into the Chiliz blockchain. Every team on the Socios.com platform maintains their own semi-autonomous organisation, with regulations requiring FanToken holders to vote on every team-related issue. These semi-autonomous organisations are made up of smart contracts that run on the Socios.com side of the blockchain, ensuring that only Fan Token holders may participate and so affect the system according to the amount of Fan Tokens they possess.

Chiliz and Socios.com launched six Fan Token Offerings over the course of six days in December 2020, commencing on December 9. Sint-Truidense V.V. (STV), Istanbul Başakşehir F.K. (IBFK), Team Alliance (ALL), Natus Vincere (NAVI), BSC Young Boys (YBO), and Novara Calcio all participated in the FTOs (NOV).

Chiliz established a cooperation with Binance in December 2020. The allocation of Fan Tokens via Binance Launchpool was the first milestone of the cooperation. Chiliz teamed with A.C. Milan to introduce the ACM Fan Token on Socios.com on January 18, 2021. Owners of ACM Fan Tokens will have access to a variety of privileges, including the ability to vote on numerous club decisions during the season, VIP prizes and experiences, special club and sponsor promotions, games, contests, and’super-fan’ recognition.
